Making A Purchase
2.1 General: Making a purchase could not be easier. Simply browse our online shop, click the "buy" button alongside any items that you wish to buy and put them in your shopping basket. After you have finished your shopping, click on "Checkout Now" and you will be asked to complete a few details so that we may fulfil your order.
We can accept all major credit and debit card and we will not charge for any item until it is ready to send to you. The contract of sale commences upon acceptance of your payment and our despatching the goods.
2.2 Payment Security: Our payments system is managed by Worldpay, a trusted leader in secure internet payment solutions. Worldpay is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Bank of Scotland.
All credit/debit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
2.3 Minimum Order Value: We cannot accept orders below the value of £5 sterling.
2.4 Xmas Club Members: Making a purchase is even more straightforward. Browse our online shop and add items to your shopping basket by clicking "add to account" (not "buy"). This means that you will not be asked for credit/debit card details. When you have finished shopping click on "checkout now" and your order total will be calculated. The cheque payments you make to your account must be sent by conventional post and we will keep you advised by email or post on the status of your account and your orders.

Shipping And Handling
3.1 All goods are despatched via our on-site Post Office using Royal Mail and Parcelforce services. Goods can be despatched from our shop Monday to Saturday.
3.2 You are given the choice of service available, allowing you to balance speed/type of delivery with the cost of the service. The cost of postage is calculated on up-to-date figures from Royal Mail and Parcelforce and is based on the weight of the items in your order and the delivery service you select.
3.3 Any date or period for delivery will be considered as indicative only, although it is our policy to try to fulfil all orders within the timeframes stated. Heavy items might take longer to deliver. We cannot be held responsible for delays in the delivery caused by our suppliers, or any other third party.
3.4 Failure to take receipt of goods at the given address will permit the carrier to use an address nearby. Should this fail the carrier will leave advice to contact them. If the goods are not collected within a reasonable time, they will be returned to Lockerbie Post Office.
Back Orders
4.1 If any items in your order are out of stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
5.1 For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added to the cost of all goods in the shop. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce the VAT to zero.
Xmas Club Members
6.1 We will happily process all orders received from you and despatch goods throughout the year (not just in the run-up to Christmas).
6.2 Goods cannot be despatched until there is a sufficient amount in your account to cover the cost.
6.3 We will advise you in writing either by conventional post or email of the delivery cost involved prior to despatch of your order.
6.4 You may choose to uplift your ordered items directly from our premises in Lockerbie if you so wish, thereby removing any charge for postage and packing. We would require 3 working days notice from you prior to your visit.
6.5 Your orders to us can be composed of items ordered online, ordered from the toy brochures will we send to you each year and any items you take off the shelves at our premises in Lockerbie.
6.6 Payments to your Xmas Club Account are made at your own discretion. We would ask, however, that you open your account with a minimum balance of £5.00. Thereafter, you can decide how much you pay in and when. As long as you have the full purchase amount in your account we will despatch your order when you require it.
6.7 Payments to your account must be made by cheque or postal order payable to 'Lockerbie Post Office' and sent to our premises in Lockerbie along with the account card we supply you. Each time we receive a payment from you we will return your updated account card showing your up to date account balance. In the unlikely event of any discrepancies on your account card you must report this to us within 7 working days of the payment date.
Guarantee
7.1 Goods may be cancelled within 7 working days of receipt and must be returned in their original condition and packaging within 21 days.
7.2 Postage relating to the return of goods must be undertaken by the customer.
Upon receipt of the goods, a refund for the returned item will be made in the appropriate form (ie. credit card)
7.3 Prices may be changed without prior notice with the exception of a valid 'order in progress'.
